Volunteer Opportunities

Jesus empowers us in Matthew 28 to “go and make disciples of all nations.” The Great Commission is not a question; it is not a suggestion. It is a command telling us what our response is to be for the great gift that we have received—eternal life through Jesus Christ. We are not asked to do this alone, plagued by worry, fear, or uncertainty. We instead are assured that this authority comes directly from God and that the power, ability, and strength that is needed for us to respond confidently comes directly from Him. What more can we ask, with the assurance and support that He alone provides?

Here are many ways that you can assist with our outreach initiative:

  • Pray that God will continue to keep us steadfast in our work and what he has called us to do.
  • Provide information and insight regarding your organization's mission and ministry plans for the inner city of Milwaukee.
  • Promote this inner-city outreach initiative to your congregation, members and friends, helping them to become involved with their time, talents and treasures.
  • Plan with us as we look to future inner-city mission and ministry opportunities for the coming year.

His guidance propels the Metro Milwaukee Lutheran Mission Society to move boldly forward in its plans to reach out to those who are in need of the great strength and promise that God alone gives. Effective, sustaining, Christ-driven ministry is only possible with partnerships that share competencies and build up the strengths of each partner, working together to build up the Body of Christ here on earth. We ask that you join us in this mission, working together to promote the ministry of Christ within the inner city of Milwaukee through the sharing and serving of your talents.

We are always looking for individuals and organizations that have been blessed with competencies in the following areas:

  • Business Management
  • Education
  • Evangelism
  • Facility Management
  • Hospitality
  • Leadership
  • Ministry
  • Stewardship

The Metro Milwaukee Lutheran Mission Society is a 501c3 organization. All donations are tax deductible to the full extent of the law. Contact us to share your God-given treasures. Specific donations are needed for three separate areas of ministry:

African Immigrant Food Pantry Program—This food pantry program is designed to provide both specialized and supplemental food distribution to over 300 poverty-level African immigrants in the City of Milwaukee.

Ex-Offender Basic Back Pack & New Life Supportive Care Network—These programs have been established to assist and support ex-offenders by providing initial necessities, information, and resources upon release from the House of Correction, along with the opportunity to receive further acceptance, encouragement, and support in their journey from incarceration to becoming productive members of society.

General Administrative Funding —While our day-to-day costs of operation aren't overwhelming, your monetary donations continue to make it possible for the MMLMS to have an impact in the Greater Milwaukee area.
